St. Thomas School is run by the Tuticorin Diocesan Association (Registered), an organization of the Catholic Diocese of Tuticorin. The Bishop, the Most Rev. Dr. A. Stephen, who is the President of the Association, is also the Patron and Manager of the School.
Our objectives and goals will be achieved through excellent academic formation, training in Spoken English and soft skills, Creativity, various Club activities, Seminars, Retreats and Workshops.
Our eachers possess confidence in themselves and their profession. They understand the school vision, mission, values and present knowledge of content and pedagogical knowledge.
Social events develop social skills and empathy—the outward-oriented dimensions of emotional intelligence (EQ). The interactions or conversations elicited by events helps students build relationships.
Extracurricular activities provide a channel for reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom, offering students the opportunity to apply academic skills in a real-world context.
The Catholic Diocese of Tuticorin, besides taking care of the pastoral needs of the three and a half lakh Catholic faithful, has also involved itself in the service of the socio-economic development of the people of Tuticorin diocese irrespective of religion or caste. The diocese has been running hospitals, homes for the aged and the under privileged, training centres for women and the marginalized and other such institutions. Education being an important instrument for social change, the diocese also runs more than 250 educational institutions. St. Thomas School is one of the latest self – financed schools of the diocese. It is the new arm of the St. Thomas Group of Institutions.
